One needs escape

not from the long tedious five days of work, or the busy Saturday spent trying to catch up with your own life and it's chores but from Sundays.

I'm not particularly religious. so that won't save me. my mother's place is too far.

The saner people are asleep it seems and the insomniacs have over crowded the beaches.

I, having nowhere else to go, escape to my 3 by 2. The walls of office must surely miss me.

and then, without notice, whithout asking, a friend drops by. He brings a tub of chocolate ice cream and a smile.

Sometimes, it's only a friend who can save you.
